Why do compatible units matter in scientific formulas?

Equations assume that quantities are expressed in a consistent unit system. Mixing centimeters with meters or minutes with seconds without conversion changes the numerical result.

Are molecular weight and molar mass the same?

They are closely related but not identical terms. Relative molecular mass is dimensionless, while molar mass is expressed as mass per mole. Online calculators often use “molecular weight” as the familiar search term for a formula-based molar-mass calculation.

What is the difference between molarity and molality?
